Private yoga sessions can be booked on a one-to-one basis or as a group. Classes last for 60 or 90 minutes and are themed around one, or a combination, of the styles outlined here. Sequences are tailored to suit the purpose of your practice, level of experience and therapeutic needs. If you are unsure of what style and length of session would be suitable for you or your group I will be able to make recommendations after a brief consultation. Each session begins with a few minutes of meditation and pranayama to focus the mind and connect to the breath. If you would like to explore a deeper meditation and pranayama practice as part of your session then a minimum of 90 minutes will be required. |
Session at Amulet Studio... |
Session at your own home... |
I offer private classes on a one-to-one basis or up to groups of 4 at the Amulet studio. However, if the weather allows I can cater for larger groups in the garden.
Each session will begin with a brief consultation to ensure that the session is tailored to suit the style you prefer and match your level of experience and ability. We will also discuss any health issues that may benefit from yoga therapy and likewise any physical limitations or injuries that must be taken into account to ensure a safe practice. All equipment is provided, however you may wish to bring a bottle of water and a small towel. It is best not to eat a heavy meal less than 3 hours before a class and you will need to wear loose, comfortable clothing. |
Depending on space available at your own home or holiday villa I can can cater for groups up to fifteen people for Hatha and Vinyasa classes, but a maximum of four for Yin Yoga due to the amount of equipment required
The 'At Home' class follows the same framework as the one in the studio, however a small supplement fee is added to the typical session price to cover travel time and costs. Before an appointment can be confirmed we will need to establish if there is a suitable space at your home for the yoga session. I would recommend a minimum of 1.5m by 2m per person. The space can be indoors or out, but it is important that the ground surface is relatively flat. |

New Students
If you or any of your group have any medical conditions, injuries or concerns I would welcome the opportunity to have a quick chat with you before you come to the class. That way I will be able to pre-plan any posture modifications or props that may be required to ensure you get the most benefit from your practice.
Medical Certificate or Liability Waiver Agreement
By its very nature yoga is a gentle and mindful practice but, as is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury is present and cannot be entirely eliminated. I assure you that proper care shall be taken for your well-being and safety throughout the class, however it is important to realise that you are ultimately responsible in protecting yourself against injury. It is therefore imperative that you listen to your body, avoid or adjust a posture as required and ask for my guidance.
Consequently, and for insurance purposes, prior to your first class I will need you to provide one of the following
