Join me for a FREE 30-minute Yoga Nidra session on Zoom on the evening of Monday 25 September, 8pm France / 7pm UK.
The session will begin with a few gentle stretches to relax body and mind, followed by a 20-minute guided Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a powerful, yet incredibly simple, guided meditation technique. As the voice leads you on a journey through the five layers of the body, a deeply restful state is achieved. Some practitioners are content just to enjoy these profoundly relaxing sensations. Others may use this safe environment to explore personal challenges from a remote perspective and often experience a release from negative emotions. Whatever your intention for the practice, you will be left feeling rested, nourished and with a sense of wholeness. |
How to prepare for the session:
This relaxing and intensely effective meditation is best enjoyed lying down; on a sofa, the floor or even better, in bed. Before you begin, and to avoid distraction once the meditation has begun, you should take a moment to consider your ‘Sankalpa’, a short positive statement (in the present tense) of what you desire or a state that you wish to realise. Some examples;
If you often feel tired and lethargic, your Sankalpa could be... 'I am energetic'
If you find it hard to focus and are easily distracted... 'I am focused'
If you are struggling with several conflicts and an overactive mind... 'I am peace'
